P.O.S.T. #25 - a pint tastes better when taken by the fire

Hello everyone,

As the nights draw in, we’ve got a great November lined up at the Tavern, and we’d love you to be part of it.

… the Barrel Saga
First a warm thank you to everyone who reacted with such enthusiasm (and affection!) when our little bar barrel by the fire went missing the other week. We’re still not sure whether it ran away or was swept off its feet, but your comments certainly gave it a heroic send-off.

We look forward to welcoming you - whether it’s for a dance, a drink, a gig, or just a warm spot by the bar.

THERE'S STILL TIME TO GRAB A GREAT DEAL!

November discounts still available at Pepper House, our self-catering, dog-friendly accommodation offering two double bedrooms. Book your stay online. Find out more...

STEP INSIDE AND MAKE YOURSELF AT HOME

Our friendly, atmospheric, and historic pub is the perfect place to unwind - we offer a smashing selection of ales, ciders, wines and spirits, and have a lovely cosy corner by the wood burner for those settle-in kind of days. Bring your four-legged friend and they’re getting a biscuit.

Our house beers HPA by Wye Valley, Jaipur by Thornbridge and Hawkstone lager are joined this week by:

CASK

Lagonda by Marble Beers - Originally an IPA, Lagonda is pale in colour, with a sturdy malt body, on which a citrus and floral hop character is built. 5%

Wily Fox by Craft Fox Brewery - an amber‐coloured Lancashire Ale, brewed with Maris Otter & Crystal Malts, triple‐hopped with classic English varieties Northdown, Fuggles & East Kent Goldings. Quaffable, full bodied and bitter, with a spicy, earthy aroma. 4%

KEG

Gwei-lo by Brew York - dry hopped with Citra and Vic Secret, this hazy pale is a symphony of mango, pineapple and citrus, with a smooth finish. 5%
