P.O.S.T. #22 – All ale! All ale!

Hello!
Welcome to what is actually quite literally the best pub newsletter ever - it’s personally endorsed by the Dali Lama, David Attenborough, and that woman from the advert with the kid from Eastenders in. It details the cask beers, gig line-up, and the much-sought-after Ruperts' Password at the Old Street Tavern in Ludlow, Shropshire.
THE ALE TRAIL - GUEST BEERS
This week the Ludlow Spring Festival is here, and to celebrate our part in the Ale Trail we are running a host of interesting jars:

CASK
Sign of Spring by Stonehenge Brewery - a green premium ale, brewed using Stonehenge Spring Water, barley and wheat malts, whole hops, and their own top-fermenting yeast. Smooth and rich in both malt and hop aroma, the finish is fruity and pleasantly bitter. 4.6%
Absolution by Abbeydale Brewery - Fruity, premium strength golden ale showcasing Willamette and Cascade hops, plus Galaxy for a tropical boost, beautifully balanced by Bobek and Spalt. Dangerously easy drinking. 5.3%
Outer Limits by Bristol Beer Factory - 4 US hops slide into this DDH'd IPA; Calypso for peach and pear notes, Mount Hood and Galena bringing grapefruit, and Liberty providing lemon and citrus. The BBF Uber Pale malt platform allows these hops to take the lead. Enjoy the ride. 5.0%.
No Brakes by Fixed Wheel Brewery - a classic American-inspired IPA, which is packed full of classic American hops delivering up-front, fruity citrus flavours, while English malts add balance with a touch of sweetness. 5.9%
KEG
Beaches Pale by Nothing Bound Brewery - a New England hazy pale ale, this is Citra-based beer packs more hops per pint than any other beer, and boasts lime and grapefruit flavours, with a refreshing citrusy finish. 5.2%
These are joined by our delicious house beers - locals HPA, a polished real ale at 4%, and Butty Bach, a marvellous premium ale at 4.5% – both from Wye Valley Brewery,

This week we welcome the return of the magnificent and very rightly Reverend Ferriday, who will be telling us more stories of dirty hearts and broken roads, and next week we have punk from Alvin and the Angry Barrels, supported by The Speedgums.
Next month the Humdrum Express are playing, supported by a stripped-back acoustic set from Pigdaze, and at the end of June Trovatori will be making a return with a new selection of opera classics.

If you are an original artist and fancy playing, then drop us a line at live@oldstreettavern.com with links to your stuff.
